Steel Panel Radiator Types 10, 11, 22 and 33 Compared

Steel panel radiator type numbers are a compact way to describe the internal arrangement. The first digit normally refers to panels and the second to convector layers.
Type 10
One panel with no convector layer gives shallow projection and a relatively simple surface to access for cleaning. It may suit spaces where depth matters more than maximum output.
Type 11
One panel and one convector increase emitting area while keeping the body comparatively compact.
Type 22
Two panels with two convector layers are a common balance of output, depth and available widths for general projects.
Type 33
Three panels and three convectors provide greater emitting area where wall length is constrained, but projection and weight increase.
Do not select by type alone
Compare certified output at the intended temperature condition, overall depth, water content, weight, bracket arrangement and connection options. The right type is the one that meets heat loss and practical installation requirements.
