Radiator Packaging Checklist for International Shipping

A radiator can leave the coating line in perfect condition and still be damaged by poor handling or an unsuitable pack. Packaging should be treated as part of the product specification.

Protect vulnerable areas

Corners, valve tappings, brackets and projecting features need focused protection. The outer carton must resist abrasion while internal materials prevent movement against painted surfaces.

Design for the distribution route

A direct project delivery and a multi-stage distributor network create different risks. Discuss palletisation, carton labels, barcode needs, mixed-size loading and whether units will be picked individually.

Container planning

• Confirm packed dimensions and gross weights.
• Keep heavy cartons stable and loads evenly distributed.
• Use suitable restraint to limit movement.
• Consider humidity and condensation risk on long routes.
• Photograph loading condition and key restraint points.

Make receiving easier

Use clear model, size, colour and quantity identification. A consistent label reduces warehouse mistakes and helps the buyer inspect the shipment efficiently.
