A Practical Radiator Sample Approval Process

A sample is most useful when everyone agrees what it is intended to approve. Appearance, dimensions, output documentation and packaging may need separate checks.

1. Freeze the sample brief

List model, size, connection, colour, accessories, packaging and required documents. Identify any points that remain provisional.

2. Inspect systematically

Use a checklist rather than a general visual opinion. Record key dimensions, tapping positions, bracket compatibility, visible weld quality, coating appearance, labels and carton protection.

3. Test the installation interface

Where possible, mount the sample with the intended brackets and valves. This can expose clearance or connection issues that are difficult to see on a table.

4. Control revisions

Photograph the approved sample and record the date and revision. If a change is requested, state whether it applies to appearance, construction, packing or documents.

5. Link approval to production

The purchase specification should reference the controlled sample and list any approved deviations. This turns the sample into a useful production reference rather than an informal memory.
